November 23rd through 27th sees the return of the Fantasy of Trees, one of East Tennessee’s biggest and best holiday celebrations that is held at the Knoxville Convention Center. All proceeds from the event benefit the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.

Now in its 27th year, the 2011 edition of the Fantasy of Trees celebrates decorations, designs, and the simple pleasures of the 1950s. Expect plenty of nostalgia along with equal parts sights, sounds, and colors.

How can you participate in the Fantasy of Trees outside of visiting the venue? There are more than 350 designer items that are available for businesses and individuals to decorate. Area schools are also encouraged to have their students participate by decorating an “Adopt-a-Tree.” All of these items are then sold at the event in order to benefit the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.

The Fantasy of Trees offers a Visitor Center that provides you with everything you need to know before making the trip with your family this year. You can also call (865) 541-8385 or email FOT@etch.com for more information.

We hope everyone is able to make it out for this year’s Fantasy of Trees! It is sure to be yet another hit among Knoxville residents, so don’t miss out. Feel free to comment with a link to any photos that you take at the event late next week.
